TOTAL French School is a missed day school based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Founded in 1972, its main purpose is to provide a full French education for the children of expatriate employees of the company. The school caters for children from the age of 5 to 18. As part of the school’s community ethos it also welcomes the children of local families that wish to undertake a continental education.
There are currently 82 children on role, including those in the equivalent 6th Form. The school offers the Baccalaureate and Post-Baccalaureate certifications and covers both primary and secondary education.
Teaching is provided in French and all teaching is in line with the instructions of the French Ministry of Education. The only exceptions are visual arts, music and English which are taught in English by local teachers. Secondary education includes the option to learn further modern foreign languages to complement teaching in French, and English as the first other living language taught.
