Felsted’s 90‑acre rural campus gives pupils exceptional space to learn, play and grow. With expansive playing fields, a heated pool, two astroturfs, two sports halls, 25 tennis courts, a state‑of‑the‑art Music School, theatre spaces and eight well‑equipped boarding houses, our environment offers freedom, safety and outstanding facilities that few schools can match. Felsted is also conveniently situated an hour between London and Cambridge, with Stansted airport only 20 minutes away by car and three train stations within a 20 minute drive.

Music is a key component of Felsted life and we firmly believe that Music is something for all children to enjoy. Children in the youngest years enjoy weekly music lessons and all children in Year 3 have the chance to learn a strings instrument. As they move up the school there are a huge range of opportunities for musicians to contribute both academically and as a co-curricular activity, including playing in concerts, performing at local events, and taking trips to local cathedrals and other venues.

Drama makes a significant contribution to the academic and co-curricular life of the School as a vehicle for expressive learning. With opportunities to get involved with Drama at every age group, from the Reception Nativity to the annual Musical Theatre performance in Years 5 & 6 - the standard of productions is incredibly high. It's not just on stage that students can flourish, with costume design, make up, staging and lighting opportunities along the way for anyone with a creative or technical flair.

Under the guidance of Former England and Super League player Lindsay Keable, Netball is flourishing and the school has hosted and won many tournaments over the years. Our aim is for all girls to enjoy physical activity and team-play and to achieve the level of skill and commitment which best suits their ability. Netball is introduced to all pupils in Year 3 and is on the Sports Programme in the Spring Term for girls, although coaching sessions are provided all year round.

All children from Felsted Prep transfer to Felsted automatically, enabling total continuity of ethos and environment. The schools have their own sites and staff teams, but are on the same campus and together form the Felsted Family.
